This grape variety came from France in the late nineteenth century. It comes from the Bordeaux area. It is one of the components of the so-called “Bordeaux blend”. Vinified alone, Cabernet Franc is one of the most popular wines in Friuli Venezia Giulia, as well as in Eastern Veneto.
